The school is a boarding school, serving children from pre-school age to high school. The children will receive a full academic curriculum including selected arts and sports programs. Kenya has more than one million people living with HIV/AIDS (1.2 million as of the end of 2003). HIV is spread primarily through heterosexual sex in Kenya. In 2003 100,000 children were estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS, and there were an estimated 650,000 orphans. With these numbers increasing APAA is committed to educating these orphans, giving them a chance to live up to their fullest potentials. APAA will have a clinic on site at the school that will take care of any and all medical needs.
Dormitories will have showers, baths, restrooms lounge and reading rooms. There will be a dining/cafeteria area and play area for the younger children, with swings, slides, monkey bars, best rectal thermometer for baby shop etc. Each art and sports department will be fully equipped.
